Real-time collaboration has become a crucial requirement in modern software development, especially for distributed teams. This project presents a Real-Time Collaborative Code Editor that enables multiple users to write, edit, and view source code simultaneously within a shared environment. The system is developed using React.js and Monaco Editor for the frontend, Node.js and Socket.IO for real-time communication, and MongoDB for persistent data storage. The editor provides instant synchronization of code changes, low-latency interaction, and automatic saving of data, eliminating the delays and conflicts commonly found in traditional version-control-based collaboration. By offering a web-based, scalable, and platform-independent solution, the proposed system significantly enhances productivity, teamwork, and efficiency in collaborative software development.
